Samantha has worked as a paralegal since 2007. Prior to joining Ray, Mitev & Associates in 2013, she worked in New York City for a prestigious entertainment law firm.
As a paralegal who has quickly built a successful career path, Samantha assists lawyers at Ray, Mitev & Associates with document production and examination, fact development, deposition preparation, and trial preparation. She has professional experience in commercial and complex civil litigation as well as criminal defense, child support enforcement, personal injury, collections, and entertainment law.
Clients benefit from her multi-district litigation experiences in state and federal courts across the United States. She lends valuable support in all phases of litigation, from inception through discovery and at trial. Her proficiency with computer software is used extensively by the firm to prepare exhibits for use at depositions, settlement negotiations, trial, and mediation.
Although full of wanderlust, Samantha loves New York and calls Long Island home. She is an avid beach-goer on Fire Island, a recidivist wearer of dangerously high heels, and enjoys reading, cooking, and the month of October, especially Halloween. She is also colloquially known as “Carmen San Diego” – after Jimmy Fallon bestowed the nickname on her during his show in 2014.
A graduate of Seton Hall University majoring in Psychology and English, she also earned both a Legal Secretary Certificate and a Paralegal Certificate from the University of North Florida.
